– Potatoes – 3-4 (large, grated)
– Corn flour – 2 tbsp
– Salt – as per taste
– Oil – for frying
– Boiled gram (black gram or white chickpea) – 1 cup
– Boiled potatoes – 2 (chopped)
– Curd – 1/2 cup (whipped)
– Green chutney – 2 tbsp
– Tamarind Chutney – 2 tbsp
– Roasted cumin powder – 1/2 tsp
– Chaat masala – 1/2 tsp
– Red chilli powder – 1/2 tsp
– Chopped onion – 1 (optional)
– Chopped Tomato – 1
– Salted Sev – 1/2 cup
– Pomegranate seeds – 2 tablespoons (optional)
– Chopped coriander – to decorate
How to make Lachcha Aloo Katori Chaat
To make Lachha Aloo Katori Chaat, first prepare the potato bowl.
Wash the grated potatoes and squeeze out all the water.
Add corn flour and salt to potatoes and mix well.
Take a steel bowl and spread the potato mixture over it so that it takes the shape of the bowl.
Put the bowl upside down in hot oil and fry on low flame till it becomes golden and crisp.
Take out the bowl and keep it on tissue paper to absorb excess oil.
Add boiled gram and potatoes to the prepared potato bowl.
Add curd, green chutney and tamarind chutney over it.
Sprinkle chaat masala, roasted cumin powder and red chili powder.
Garnish with onion, tomato, sev and pomegranate seeds.
Garnish with green coriander and serve immediately.
