Huge explosion in Turkish arms manufacturing factory, 12 people died
Ankara: A massive explosion occurred in an arms manufacturing factory in the north-western region of Türkiye. 12 people have died in this. While four other people were injured. Balikesir city governor Ismail Ustoğlu said that the explosion occurred in the capsule production area at 8:25 local time.
On the blast, Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya said that the reason behind the blast is not yet clear, but the authorities have not ruled out the possibility of some kind of conspiracy.

In the video obtained from the spot, a ball of fire is seen coming out of the factory, destroying a part of the building and after that black smoke is seen rising. Governor Ustoğlu expressed condolences to those killed in a post on social media. He also wished for the speedy recovery of the injured.

Officials said several firefighters and health and safety units were dispatched to the area to control the fire. Justice Minister Yilmaz Tunç said an investigation has been launched to find out the cause of the blast.
