New Delhi. Congress leaders KC Venugopal, Jairam Ramesh and Pawan Khera held a press conference at the Congress headquarters on Tuesday. During this, Jairam Ramesh said, a special meeting of the expanded CWC is being held in Belagavi, Karnataka on December 26, 2024. Belagavi is the same place where Mahatma Gandhi became the President of Congress 100 years ago. This meeting has been named 'Nav Satyagraha', because 100 years ago Gandhiji had announced Satyagraha from Belagavi. From the same place, Congress will move forward with the 'Resolve of New Satyagraha'.

There will be a big rally in Belagavi on December 27, in which all Congress leaders and workers from across the country will participate. The name of this rally will be 'Jai Bapu-Jai Bhim-Jai Constitution'. On December 26, 2024, two resolutions will be passed, which will be placed before the country – this will include the Congress Party's action plan for the next one year.

Jairam Ramesh said, Congress party has been celebrating 'Ambedkar Samman Week' for the last 7 days. We have also held press conferences in more than 100 cities of the country regarding Amit Shah's insult to Ambedkar ji. Today meetings are being held in all the districts, morchas are being taken out and a document is being prepared, which will be handed over to the President. Our demand is: Home Minister Amit Shah should apologize and the Home Minister should be dismissed from the cabinet. This is a historic meeting for us. A few years ago, a thinking camp was held in Udaipur, from which the decision of 'Bharat Jodo Yatra' emerged. It is expected that some historic decisions will be taken from Belagavi also.
