Ingredients required to make Sindhi Dal dish

– Flour – 2 cups
– Celery – 1/2 tsp
– Salt – as per taste
– Oil – 2 tbsp (for kneading the dough)
– Oil – for frying
– Water – to knead the dough
– Chana dal – 1 cup (soaked for 2-3 hours)
– Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp
– Salt – as per taste
– Green chilli (finely chopped) – 2
– Ginger (grated) – 1 tsp
– Red chilli powder – 1/2 tsp
– Cumin – 1 tsp
– Oil – 2 tbsp
– Coriander leaves – to decorate
– Tamarind Chutney – 1/2 cup
– Green chutney – 1/2 cup
– Chopped onion – 1/2 cup

How to make Sindhi Dal dish

To make Sindhi Dal dish, first mix flour, salt, celery and 2 tablespoons oil in a bowl.
Knead a stiff dough by adding water little by little.
Keep the dough covered for 15-20 minutes.
Divide the dough into equal parts and roll it into a round shape.
Make holes on the dish with a fork so that it does not swell while frying.
Fry the dish in hot oil on low flame until it becomes golden and crisp.
Prepare all the dishes in the same manner.
Add chana dal, turmeric powder and salt in a pressure cooker and cook for 2-3 whistles. The lentils should be soft, but not completely paste-like.
Heat oil in a pan, splutter cumin seeds in it.
Add chopped green chillies and ginger and fry lightly.
Add cooked dal, red chilli powder and some water.
Let it cook on low flame for 5-7 minutes.
Place the dish on a plate.
Put the lentils in a separate bowl.
Add chopped coriander leaves, tamarind chutney, green chutney and chopped onion and serve.
Fry the dish on low flame to make it crisp. To enhance the taste of dal, sprinkle some chaat masala on top. Serve it hot so that the crispiness of the dish remains. This recipe of Sindhi Dal Pakwan will make your breakfast special. Do try it.
