Rohit Sharma breaks silence on Virat Kohli's poor form

Mumbai Mumbai. Virat Kohli is the great batsman of the modern era and hence the expectations from him are always high and hence his form with the bat is worrying. With two more Test matches remaining and the crucial series tied at 1-1, India will look to give a tough fight to the hosts in Melbourne and then Sydney. And Kohli will be a key player for that to happen. Given his experience of playing on Australian soil, Kohli can easily become a gamechanger for India. Apart from the solitary century in Perth, Kohli has not lived up to expectations with the bat and he will be desperate to change that. Ahead of the Boxing Day Test, India captain Rohit Sharma was asked questions on Kohli's form.

To this, Rohit replied in his unique style, “You yourself said that he is the great player of modern times. The great players of modern times will choose their own path.” Rohit was also asked about the playing eleven, but he did not reveal much. He claimed that he will select the eleven based on the amount of grass on the pitch. “We will see how much grass is there on the wicket, whether spinners will be needed or not. We have to see all this. We just have today (for practice and practice) and then tomorrow's holiday (because of Christmas), even the groundsmen will not be on the ground. So, we will have to take a decision today after checking the wicket,” Rohit said. The Boxing Day Test will start from December 26 and full houses are expected on all days.
