France: Formation of new government, two former PMs included in Bayru cabinet

France : French Prime Minister Francois Bayrou has formed a new government. In this government, he has included two former prime ministers of the country, Manuel Valls and Elisabeth Borne, in his cabinet. Francois Bayrou aims to take the European Union's second-largest economy out of the political crisis. According to reports, Bayru has formed an alliance with 14 full ministries in the new government. Walls has been appointed Minister of Foreign Affairs, while Bourne has been given the leadership of the Ministry of National Education, Higher Education and Research. Former Interior Minister Gerald Darmanin will take over the role of Justice Minister. The president's office said Defense Minister Sebastien Lecornu and Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot would both remain in their posts.

Conservative Interior Minister Bruno Ritello, who is committed to tackling illegal immigration, kept his post. The challenging task of preparing next year's budget now rests with the new Economy Minister Eric Lombard.

Agnes Pannier-Runacher will remain in charge of the Ministry of Eco-Transition, Biodiversity, Forests, Oceans and Fisheries. Annie Genevard has been appointed Minister of Agriculture and Food Sovereignty. To prepare the 2025 budget, Bayeru has appointed Eric Lombard as the new Minister of Economy, Finance, Industrial and Digital Sovereignty.
