Government of India will be strict on misleading e-commerce platforms, Jaago Customer Jaago App will be launched soon

New Delhi : National Consumer Affairs Department of the year 2024, the government has launched 3 apps to promote consumer security and deal with the misleading online system. This is a big initiative of the government to strengthen the digital consumers of these apps and to deal with the challenges like dark patterns emerging in e-commerce. This new step will prove to be the government's commitment to consumer empowerment and digital transformation.

With the help of these apps, the capacity of the Central Consumer Protection Authority can increase significantly and will help it in avoiding dark patterns. Jago app provides essential information about all the URLs visited by the consumer during his/her online activities and alerts that any URL may be unsafe and requires caution.

Jaago Customer Jaago App provides consumers with essential information about e-commerce platforms, so that they can identify those misleading websites. These apps warn about the risks of online shopping, increasing consumer awareness and helping them make informed decisions.

Jagriti App

Jagruti App encourages active participation of users. This app provides information to consumers about websites that conduct fraudulent online transactions, such as using dark patterns.

Jagriti Dashboard

Jagriti Dashboard collects data from complaints submitted through the Jagriti app, which provides a diverse perspective of consumer nature. It helps officers in tracking dark patterns on various platforms.
