Sameer Rizvi created a ruckus in Under-23, scored his second double century in four days; made a new record

Strong player Sameer Rizvi did not get a place in the UP team for Vijay Hazare. However, Sameer Rizvi created a stir in the Under-23 ODI tournament and made many records in his name. Sameer Rizvi achieved the feat of scoring two double centuries in three matches. He scored two double centuries within four days of this week.
While chasing the challenging target of 407 runs against Vidarbha in Vadodara, UP captain Rizvi came to bat at number four in the 13th over. Opener Shaurya Singh gave a great start. After that Rizvi along with team Siddiqui made a big partnership of 296 runs in 173 balls. Siddiqui scored 91 runs on 68 balls. Whereas Rizvi played a brilliant innings and won the match by scoring 202 runs in just 105 balls. During this, Rizvi hit 18 sixes and 10 fours.
Just four days ago, Rizvi had played another stormy innings, destroying the attack of Tripura Under 23 at Kotambi B ground in the city. Rizvi, who had scored a double century at that time, had scored 201 runs in 97 balls. Which included 20 sixes apart from 13 fours. This was the fastest double century of the tournament. Earlier last week, the former Chennai Super Kings batsman had scored centuries in two consecutive matches against Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh.

Looking at Rizvi's performance, it seems that the UP team will soon include Rizvi in the senior team for the Vijay Hazare tournament. Rizvi made headlines at the beginning of the year. When he was included in the team of Chennai Super Kings by paying Rs 8.4 crore during the mini auction of IPL 2024. In this year's mega auction, Delhi Capitals included him in their team for Rs 30 lakh. Rizvi scored 27, 137*, 153, 201*, 8, 202* runs in the Under 23 tournament. Till now Rizvi has scored 728 runs.
