Australia vs India, big record made on the first day of the fourth test match

Delhi: The fourth test match of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy started today (Thursday), in which the teams of India and Australia are face to face. Crowds of spectators came to Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) to watch this match, which is a new record of attendance in one day in Test cricket between the two teams.

A total of 87,242 spectators reached the ground on the first day of the Boxing Day Test. This figure is the highest so far in a Test match between India and Australia. The special thing is that the tickets for the first day of this match were sold two weeks in advance.

It is noteworthy that 19-year-old opener Sam Constas, who made his debut for Australia on the first day of the MCG Test, hit Jasprit Bumrah for two consecutive sixes in the first session. However, in the last session, Bumrah made a strong comeback and kept the Indian team in the match. By the end of the day's play, Australia had scored 311 runs for 6 wickets. Bumrah took 3 wickets in all, while Constas scored a fifty in the debut match.
