New Delhi. Suresh Chandrakar, the main accused in the journalist Mukesh Chandrakar murder case in Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh, has been sent to judicial custody. On Wednesday, Suresh was produced in the court along with four other accused—Ritesh Chandrakar, Dinesh Chandrakar and Mahendra Ramteke. The court ordered to send everyone to judicial custody for 15 days.
Arrest from Hyderabad
The SIT investigating this case had arrested Suresh Chandrakar from Hyderabad late on Sunday night. Inspector General of Police (Bastar Range) Sundarraj P informed that the accused was brought to Bijapur on Monday. Earlier, Suresh's brother Ritesh Chandrakar, Dinesh Chandrakar and supervisor Mahendra Ramteke have been arrested.

Dead body found in septic tank
Freelance journalist Mukesh Chandrakar (33) had gone missing on January 1. On January 3, his body was found in a septic tank in Chattanpara Basti, Bijapur. After the murder, a conspiracy was hatched to hide the body.
