MG Mifa 9 Electric MPV to Debut at Bharat Mobility Expo 2025 with Impressive Range, Expected Price and Features
JSW MG, a prominent British automaker, is set to showcase an exciting range of electric vehicles at the upcoming Bharat Mobility Expo 2025. One of the star attractions at the event will be the highly anticipated MG Mifa 9an electric multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) with a remarkable driving range of up to 565 kilometers on a single charge. While the official launch date has not been confirmed, it is expected that the vehicle will debut at the Expo and will be available for sale shortly after its unveiling.
Key Features of MG Mifa 9
The MG Mifa 9 electric MPV is expected to impress with a range of features aimed at comfort, technology, and convenience. Sporting a sleek design, the Mifa 9 is equipped with high-seat bonnets, slim headlights, connected lights, and LED DRLs. It also features a sliding rear door, providing easy access to the cabin.
Inside, the Mifa 9 is expected to come with a dual sunroof, electric sliding doors, a tailgate, and seating for up to seven passengers. The vehicle’s interior includes a 466.2-liter boot space, full black interior, wireless mobile charging, an air purifier, and a 12.3-inch infotainment system with a 12-speaker audio system. Other features include a smart key and front auto wipers, adding to its appeal.
Safety and Security
JSW MG Mifa 9 will be loaded with advanced safety features to ensure passenger protection. The MPV will include seven airbags, tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS), seat belt reminders, three-point seat belts, and a host of driver assistance features such as ADAS, adaptive cruise control, ICA, AEBS, SAS, intelligent headlight control, a 360-degree camera, rear radar, and a tire repair kit as standard equipment.
Battery, Range, and Performance
Powering the Mifa 9 will be a robust 90kWh battery, offering a driving range between 430 to 565 kilometers, depending on driving conditions. The vehicle can be charged from 30% to 80% in just 30 minutes using a DC fast charger, making it convenient for long-distance travel. The electric motor will produce 180kW of power and 350Nm of torque, ensuring a smooth driving experience.
The Mifa 9 can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 9.9 seconds, with a top speed of 180 km/h. Drivers can also choose between three driving modes—eco, normal, and sports—to tailor their driving experience to their preferences.
Price and Competitors
Although JSW MG has not officially revealed the price for the Mifa 9 in India, industry sources suggest that the electric MPV could be priced in the range of ₹55-60 lakh (ex-showroom). When launched, the Mifa 9 will compete with popular MPVs like the Kia Carnival, which is available in the internal combustion engine (ICE) variant, and other electric alternatives entering the market.
