Supriya Shrinet said, Modi government will present the budget in the next few days, which will decide the condition and direction of the country. This budget will also decide what kind of relief the public will get. For the first time in independent India, the 'suit-booted Modi government' has increased the income tax more than the corporate tax. The throats of the common man are being slit in the name of tax.
He further said, in this episode it is also important to talk about Gabbar Singh Tax i.e. GST, because whatever you buy, you have to pay GST. From match box, mug, cotton shirt, flour, curd, medicine, education to popcorn… there is GST on everything. The situation is that 64% of GST collection is coming from the bottom 50% of the population of this country.
At the same time, Congress leader Shakti Singh Gohil said that most of the money a common citizen earns in a month is spent. Today there is no saving in earnings. Manmohan Singh ji had said – GST is to provide relief to the people, not to loot them, but BJP has done the opposite. The common citizen of the country pays more than two-thirds of the taxes, but the participation of Modi ji's favorite people in GST is only 3%. From this you can imagine how big this gap is.
