After the worldwide Corona epidemic in 2020, HMPV infection is now being seen. The question coming in the minds of people is whether this virus can also spread as fast as Corona? However, no such information has been revealed yet about HMPV and it is not considered as dangerous as Corona.
Dr. Soumya Swaminathan, former chief scientist of the World Health Organization (WHO), shared information about HMPV in a post on social media platform X. There is no need to be afraid of this virus. He said that it is an old virus that causes respiratory infections and its patients are mostly mild.
Apart from this, he has advised people to take general precautions against the symptoms of cold (Hmpv Virus). Dr. Soumya Swaminathan said that instead of trying to detect every germ, we should take general precautions when we have a cold. Make sure to use a mask for this. Avoid going to crowded places, wash hands frequently and consult a doctor immediately if you feel serious symptoms.
On the other hand, the arrival of this virus will not create an epidemic-like situation, said Dr. Kuldeep Kumar Grover. Dr. Kuldeep Kumar Grover said that HMPV cannot become an epidemic like Corona. Because most people have been vaccinated to prevent flu. Due to this, people's immune system has become very strong, which can protect them from this virus.
