Lebanon devastated by Israeli attack gets new President, shock to America-Saudi

New Delhi. Lebanon, a Middle East country that was devastated by Israel's attack, has got a new President. Army commander Joseph Aoun has been elected the new President of Lebanon. According to media reports, voting for the presidential election took place in the Lebanese Parliament on Thursday. During this time, Army Chief Aun went to the presidential election.

Got success after 12 attempts

Let us tell you that the post of President was vacant in Lebanon for the last 2 years. During this period, attempts were made to fill this post 12 times, but the election process could not be completed. Meanwhile, Lebanon has now got a full-time President. Joseph Aoun got 99 out of 128 votes in the elections held on Thursday.

US-Saudi candidate lost

America and Saudi Arabia have suffered a major setback in Lebanon's presidential elections. Actually, former President Michel Aoun was considered a supporter of America and Saudi, but he lost badly in this election. Michel was the President of Lebanon until 2022.

The war that has been going on for 14 months has stopped

It is known that voting for the post of President in Lebanon has taken place at a time when recently a deal has been made between Israel and Hezbollah to stop the war. The Israeli army and the Lebanese terrorist organization have stopped the 14-month-long war under mutual agreement. The new president now has the responsibility of rebuilding war-ravaged Lebanon.
