Delhi Election 2025: Arvind Kejriwal met Chief Election Commissioner, said- raid should be conducted immediately at Pravesh Verma's house

AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal met the Chief Election Commissioner on Thursday (January 9), where he complained about BJP's New Delhi candidate Pravesh Verma. Kejriwal wrote a letter to the Chief Election Commissioner and demanded that Pravesh Verma's house be immediately raided. Arvind Kejriwal said that Pravesh Verma is openly distributing Rs 1100 to women in violation of the election code of conduct. Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann, Delhi CM Atishi and MP Sanjay Singh also reached the Election Commission.

Arvind Kejriwal has complained to the Election Commission that Pravesh Verma, former MP and BJP candidate, is asking for votes on the pretext of jobs. Kejriwal has demanded immediate suspension or transfer of the DEO.

Congress has fielded Sandeep Dikshit, son of former Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit, from Delhi's most popular seat, New Delhi Assembly seat, where Arvind Kejriwal is in the electoral fray.

Voting in Delhi on 5th February, results on 8th February

The date of assembly elections in Delhi has been announced. Elections will be held in a single phase for all 70 assembly seats on 5 February, and the results will be declared three days later on 8 February. In the last assembly elections, Aam Aadmi Party had won 62 seats, while BJP had won eight seats. Congress did not open its account in two consecutive elections.
