The matter is of Bokaro district of Jharkhand. Here a man took advantage of the Mainiyan Samman Yojana started for women. Recently, Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren sent money to the accounts of 56 lakh women. One of these names was also of a man. The name of the person who wrongly availed the benefits of Mainiyan Samman Yojana is Anand Prajapati.

Anand runs a Pragya center in Bokaro, Jharkhand. Anand had registered for Mainiyan Samman Yojana in his name. Recently, when Hemant Soren transferred money to the accounts of the beneficiaries, the money from the scheme also came to Anand's account. After the matter came to light, the administration became active and recovered the money from Anand along with interest. In this case, the administration has also filed an FIR against Anand Prajapati on charges of fraud.
During the Jharkhand Assembly elections held last year, Hemant Soren had promised that after his government comes to power in the state, women will be given Rs 2500 every month. After the election results, when Hemant Soren's government was formed, he kept his promise and started sending two installments to the accounts of women.
However, the benefits of Mainiyan Samman Yojana are not for every woman. The government has set some criteria for this. Under this, only women aged 18-50 years are being given the benefit of this scheme. Two installments of this scheme have been given. Now the third installment will come in a few days this month.
