Why are Indian fans unable to watch WWE RAW on Netflix?
New Delhi: WWE RAW made its debut on Netflix and started a new era in the sport. WWE fans worldwide were waiting to stream WWE on Netflix but after the release of the first episode, Indian fans weren’t able to watch the action on Netflix.
This issue was faced by Indian fans because Sony Sports Network currently holds the rights of WWE in India. Sony Sports Network broadcasts all WWE shows in India, RAW, Smackdown, NXT, and other live events. They have WWE rights till March 31, 2025 and after that Indian fans can stream WWE shows on Netflix.
Fans from India can still stream WWE shows on Sony Sports Network and Sony Livv app and their website. WWE fans from the USA also aren’t able to watch the historic WWE RAW show on Netflix because same like India USA Network has a deal with WWE till 2030.
WWE RAW on Netflix’s debut episode showcased four great matches and some legend’s special appearances also. The Rock made his presence in the Intuit Dome arena. Roman Reigns emerged victorious against Solo Sikoa in a Tribal combat match.
After the victory, The Rock came and acknowledged Reigns and both stars hugged each other. Jimmy Uso, Sami Zayn, and Cody Rhodes came in between the match and helped Reigns to defeat Sikoa.
John Cena kicked off his farewell tour and announced he’ll be competing in this year’s Royal Rumble match. He showed the desire to win the Royal Rumble match and then main event WrestleMania to become the 17th-time world champion.
Rhea Ripley became the new WWE women’s champion after defeating Liv Morgan. After Ripley’s victory, The Undertaker made his special appearance in the ring. He came on a Motorcycle and parked in the middle of the arena.
