Former Indian off Spinner puts a staggering message on Social media amid all around criticism

On the micro-blogging site, former India spinner Harbhajan Singh posted a cryptic message Thursday. A Hindi idiom was put to use in giving vent to his thoughts rather indirectly. “When Elephant walks through the market, paid dogs bark,” was the translation of the Hindi post shared by Harbhajan. Meanwhile, the fans in the comment section tried to find out the reason behind the former India off-spinner putting that message.

Finally, Harbhajan Singh had his way with the Indian cricket structure before the end of this year. He called upon the Indian cricket board to put an end to the “superstar culture” in the Indian team. The only criteria he acknowledged for hiring players for future assignments were their performances.

The most recent raise of Bar was done by Harbhajan against the Indian national team, which has been playing on the home turf after being defeated by the Australia national team in the test series describing the Border-Gavaskar Trophy as lost for the first time in a decade.

“This has resulted in the creation of a superstar culture. We don’t need superstars but performers. If these are there, then the team will move forward. Those who want to be superstars should stay at home and play cricket there,” the spin great said in his Youtube channel.

“Now everyone has started talking about what will happen in England, who will go and who will not. For me, it is a simple matter. Only performing players should go. You can’t pick players based on reputation.

“If you do that, then you should take Kapil Dev sir and Anil bhai also. Here, the BCCI and the selectors will have to be firm and act tough. I don’t think that the superstar attitude is taking the team forward.”

With Captain Rohit Sharma and star batter Virat Kohli woefully out of form during the Test series against Australia has left one more piece of pain for the team, the third of which is not to qualify for the World Test Championship final.

The series Down Under saw Kohli shuffling to only 190 runs in nine innings, as he kept finding edges to the slip cordon or keeper.

Harbhajan said those players out of form should be playing some form of cricket and proving their worth if they wanted to be selected for the Test series in England.
