London London. Franco Colapinto has joined Formula 1 team Alpine as a reserve driver for this year after racing for Williams in 2024. The 21-year-old Argentinian has signed a multi-year deal with Alpine, having previously Jack Doohan was promoted to the team alongside Pierre Gasly for the upcoming season. Colapinto replaced Logan Sargent in August. Finished 2024 with five points. “Now, the time has come for a new chapter, and it is truly an honor to accept this challenge with the BWT Alpine Formula One Team,” Colapinto said in a team statement on Thursday.
