A video has surfaced from Kedarnath Dham in Rudraprayag, Uttarakhand, after watching which people have gone crazy. A person not only entered the Bhairavnath temple area near Kedarnath temple wearing shoes, but also started tampering with the idols with a stick in his hand. After the video of this entire incident surfaced, a case has been registered against him.

According to information received from Rudraprayag Police, a case has been registered at Sonprayag Kotwali against Sajjan Kumar, the contractor who hired him and the related company for hurting the religious sentiments of the people. In a video that went viral on various social media platforms on Monday, a man was seen roaming around the Bhairavnath temple complex wearing shoes and tampering with the idols of the temple with a stick in his hand. This activity of that person was recorded in the CCTV camera installed in the temple premises.

Kedarnath pilgrimage priests also expressed displeasure over this matter, after which the police took immediate action and started investigating the video. In the initial investigation by the district police, this video was found to be a little old. It has been learned that the person seen in the video is a laborer of a company engaged in Kedarnath reconstruction work.

After this, the police have registered a case against Sajjan Kumar, the concerned contractor and the company under sections 298 and 331 of the Indian Penal Code (outraging religious sentiments, forcible entry). Police said that investigation into the case has been started and the accused will be arrested soon. He said that a special team has been formed for this.
