New Delhi, January 10 (IANS). There is an atmosphere of concern and fear among people regarding HMPV. But, it is a matter of relief that doctors have made it clear that there is no need for anyone to panic because it is not at all as fatal as is being claimed in some media reports. Various types of claims are being made in media reports regarding this virus. In which the biggest claim is being made that this virus has come from China. After which it is being linked to Corona. Regarding this, IANS had a special conversation with Dr. Tushar Tayal of CK Birla Hospital.
Dr. Tayal has first of all rejected the idea that this virus has anything to do with China. He said that this virus has nothing to do with China. It is already present in the environment. This virus belongs to Paramyxoidae family. It was first discovered in the Netherlands in 2001. The existence of this virus was revealed during testing.
They say that this virus is already present in all the countries and this virus is not spreading from China. In fact, a few days ago, some cases related to this virus were found in China, due to which a misconception had spread among the people that this virus has come from China, but it is not so at all. This virus has not come from China. Earlier we did not have the facility to test it, but now we have the facility to test it.
At the same time, many media reports are even claiming that there is an atmosphere of panic in the country due to HMPV. Then a situation like Corona can arise, then Dr. Tayal says that it is not like this at all. When Corona virus arrived, people had little or no immunity to fight it. Covid-19 was a new virus. In such a situation, an atmosphere of chaos was created in the country. But, this time nothing like this will happen. The HMPV virus can affect anyone in a moderate way.
On the other hand, questions are also being raised that when this virus came into existence in 2001 itself, why a vaccine has not been made to cure it till now, then doctors say that this virus is not that dangerous and Till date, it has never created a disaster-like situation. After contracting this virus, only normal symptoms are seen in the patient.
