The song ‘Bhasad Macha’ from Shahid Kapoor’s upcoming actioner Deva was unveiled by the makers on Saturday. It features vocals by Mika Singh, Vishal Mishra and Jyotica Tangri. Vishal has also composed it with lyrics by Raj Shekhar.
The song is a massy dance number, where Shahid grooves with manic energy on the dance floor. The occasion seems to be that of a wedding, as he graces it with his moves. The vocals by Mika give it a vibrant appeal with the music filled with upbeat moments. Pooja Hegde also makes a small appearance in it as she watches Shahid dance. Towards the end, the song takes an upward flight and Shahid goes all out in his dance, moving his legs in rapid motion, while also playing with a cigarette between his lips.
Earlier, the film’s teaser was unveiled which juxtaposed visuals from the song with some intense moments from the film, ending with him holding a gun against a big poster of Amitabh Bachchan from Deewaar (1975).
Deva is written by Bobby Sanjay, Hussain Dalal & Abbas Dalal, Arshad Syed, Sumit Arora with Rosshan Andrrews serving as the director. It is produced by Siddharth Roy Kapur’s Roy Kapur Films and is slated to release in theatres on January 31.
