Actually, the ICC Cricket Committee is considering giving more leeway to bowlers on wide balls in limited overs games. These changes will be made especially for those situations when the batsman moves in the last moments. Regarding this, South African veteran cricketer and former captain Shaun Pollock told news agency PTI that he is a part of the ICC Cricket Committee and we are considering bringing some more relaxation for the bowlers on the wide ball. Pollock further said that if a batsman bounces in the last minute, it is really not an ideal situation for the bowlers. He feels that it is important for a bowler to know where he can bowl at the beginning of his run up. According to the current rules, if the batsman changes his position immediately before the bowler leaves the ball, then the ball is given a wide ball. He wants a slight change in this rule.
