Late Actor Matthew Perry’s Los Angeles home, now owned by Indian-origin woman, escapes wildfire | Read
The Pacific Palisades home of the late actor Matthew Perry has miraculously survived the recent Los Angeles wildfires. The property, now owned by Indian-origin movie producer and real estate developer Anita Verma-Lallian, was spared from the devastating flames that have ravaged the area.
In an Instagram post on January 10, Verma-Lallian confirmed that the residence, which Perry had purchased in 2020, remained intact. She expressed her deep gratitude to the firefighters, neighbors, and the entire Palisades community for their support during this challenging time. “We want to express our deepest gratitude to the brave firefighters, our amazing neighbors, and the entire Palisades community for their help, strength, and support during this heartbreaking time,” she wrote.
Verma-Lallian also thanked Brooke Elliott Laurinkus, the realtor who sold her the property, for monitoring and protecting the home throughout the fire. Laurinkus will also assist those in need of temporary housing. Verma-Lallian urged her followers to donate to the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation to support the firefighters’ heroic efforts.
The home, which Perry had extensively renovated, holds sentimental value for Verma-Lallian. She performed a traditional Hindu blessing ceremony upon acquiring the house and plans to retain its unique features, including the Batman logo in the pool.
“Our thoughts remain with everyone affected by this tragedy, and we hope we can come together to heal, protect, and rebuild what’s been lost,” Verma-Lallian added.
The Los Angeles wildfires have destroyed thousands of properties, but the survival of Perry’s former home offers a glimmer of hope amid the devastation.
