Shin Min Gyu, a contestant on the well-known South Korean reality dating program Heart Signal 4, declared his split from Yoo Yi Soo, his real and on-screen fiancée. There have been long-running rumors of a potential split between the two, which Shin Min Gyu confirmed on January 9.
The split was revealed by Shin Min Gyu on a recent episode of Kiu Ssaem’s YouTube series. The fact that the program was filmed in November or December of last year, however, makes it clear that the split occurred months earlier. The information was confirmed in the episode by Shin Min Gyu himself.
He talked candidly in the video about how, since he isn’t famous, he didn’t think it was important to tell everyone about his breakup. He said, “It’s very possible to break up after dating, so it seemed kind of funny to make an announcement that we broke up.”
As a non-celebrity, he was taken aback by the amount of interest in his private life. But when the problem began to impact him and his family, he ultimately decided to discuss it on camera.
Shin Min Gyu disclosed that fans were direct messaging him and his family to ask about their potential split from Yoo Yi Soo. He made the decision to confirm the news on the show in order to silence the clamor surrounding the matter. Nevertheless, he declined to elaborate on the cause of the breakup
“We’ve been broken up for a long time already,” he verified.
Sometime between late 2022 and early 2023, following the completion of the 15-episode show’s filming, Yoo Yi Soo and Shin Min Gyu began dating. Before splitting up, they dated for more than a year.
