We have attempted subtle storytelling in Daaku Maharaaj
Bobby Kolli, who has previously made films like Sardaar Gabbar Singh and Waltair Verayyais coming up with his next feature My Memoryj, the Balakrishna-starrer that hits on January 12. During a recent media interaction, the filmmaker spoke about his conscious attempt to showcase the Babies actor in a subtle manner.
Talking about his film’s making, Bobby said, “It is a story focused on the transformation of the protagonist Sitaram into Daaku Maharaaj. We’ve created a technically polished film while focusing on subtle filmmaking.”
Explaining how Balakrishna’s role in Daaku Maharaj stands out in his filmography, Bobby said, “If you notice, there’s often a particular loudness in Balakrishna’s recent performances. In Daaku Maharajwe have attempted a more subtle and settle portrayal. We did not focus on any over-the-top action sequences, and our storytelling is grounded in realism.” The filmmaker also mentioned Simha as a particular favourite Balakrishna performance, calling it ‘subtle yet impactful.’
Also starring Shraddha Srinath, Bobby Deol, Pragya Jaiswal, and Chandini Chowdary, Daaku Maharaj will reportedly release in more than 3000 screens.
