Herogiri dominates the complexity of cyber crime, how successful was Sonu Sood as a director? – Read

Actor Sonu Sood has given a new gift to fans on New Year. His film Fateh has been released. In this film he is not only an actor but also a director. This is his directional debut and for this he chose a cyber crime based content. Today is the era of digital which is providing many benefits to the common people. But just as every coin has two sides, similarly there are evils in the cyber world too. Work is already going on on this. There are other such contents including Asur, Jamtara, Hacked and Mickey Virus which are based on cyber crime. Now let’s talk about Fateh.

story of the film

Talking about the film Fateh, the story of the film is based on an online app in which cyber crimes are shown being committed against common people. The name of Sonu Sood’s character is Fateh Singh. Fateh’s character remains a mystery for a long time in the film. But only until the people of the village where one lives have become victims of cyber crime. A girl named Nimrit gets them a loan. But later it is revealed that it was a fraud in the name of loan. All the personal details of the villagers have fallen into the hands of cyber mafia.

Now in this film, Fateh has to save the villagers and the cyber mafia has also taken hostage Nimrit, who lives in the same house who had distributed these loans to the villagers. In such a situation, Fateh has to come into his true form and then gradually it is revealed that Fateh has actually been an undercover agent and has completed many successful missions. Now it will be known further in the story how Fateh saves the villagers from this crime of cyber crime.

How is the direction?

This was Sonu Sood’s first film as a director. He has made a meaningful effort to establish himself as a director through the film. However, they have not been completely successful in this. There is too much action in the film. There was no need for so much. In such a situation, the influence of Kill and other recent action films is visible on this film. The film is on cyber crime. This is completely a sensitive matter. There are many such terminologies including digital arrest, hacking, phishing, cyber stalking etc. Cyber crime is being seen as the biggest crime of the times to come. In this film, instead of understanding the complexities of this matter, it has been made purely for entertainment.

Talking about technicality, Sonu Sood has tried to bring some creativity in the action scenes. Use of advanced equipment can be seen in the film which makes it relatable. But after this, nothing special has been shown in the film which clearly reveals the complexities of cyber crime. By the end, it remains an action entertaining film in which excessive bloodshed is shown. Apart from this, despite good casting, the roles have not been allotted properly to the characters in the film.

Sonu Sood Naseeruddin Shah

Naseeruddin Shah is the lead villain of this film but even after this, only 3-4 scenes of his will be seen in the film. Vijay Raj’s character impresses but he too has not been given the same dialogues and length. Only Sonu Sood will be seen doing action in most parts of the film, which may seem a bit boring to you. Yes, at some places he has definitely tried to be a little innovative in his style of action.

Sonu Sood as an actor

Sonu Sood has played the lead role of Fateh Singh in the film. He has lived up to the role. His action is strong as always. You will get to see his image of an angry young man. Her strength is her personality and that has always been a plus point in terms of her acting. Apart from this, an attempt has been made to forcefully increase his chemistry with Jacqueline Fernandes in the end, which is not completely digestible. The work could have been done without him also. Sonu has kept the film like a masala film.

See it or not?

If you want to watch a movie just for entertainment then you can watch this movie. Even if you want to watch a film for action, this film is for you. Even if you are a fan of Sonu Sood, this film is for you. But if you are looking for any sensitive issue in the film, then it is only in the upper wrapper. Once the toffee is opened, the taste is only of entertainment. Sonu Sood has taken special care of this. While watching a movie, you may find some scenes boring at times. Sonu has not been able to establish many characters properly.

The roles of Vijay Raj-Naseeruddin Shah and Jacqueline Fernandes have been kept very basic. This seems dishonest with Naseer’s character. The way Naseer has been portrayed as the biggest culprit of cyber crime and later the way he is shown surrendering, it seems very childish. By giving such films the form of a series, the depth of the topic being discussed comes to the fore and the characters also get some detail. In such a situation, the pleasure of watching a film would have been different.
