Know the best yoga asanas for diabetic patients – Obnews
Increasing sugar level in the body causes the problem of diabetes. More than 10 crore people are affected by this disease in India. People often resort to medicines to control diabetes, but there are some yoga asanas which can help in controlling sugar level. Doctors of Delhi AIIMS have done a research on this subject.
Research has claimed that if yoga is done for 50 minutes daily, it can be effective in controlling sugar level. After diabetic patients did yoga for three months, it was found that the level of HB1Ac in their body reduced significantly. These patients were given yoga along with medicines, while other patients were given only medicines. The sugar level of the patients doing yoga remained controlled.
The 50-minute yoga plan prepared has been found beneficial in controlling sugar levels. It mainly includes some yoga asanas, which should be done every day for 1-1 minutes.
1. Marjorie Asana (Cat Pose):
Sit in Vajrasana and place your hands on the thighs.
Stand on your knees and extend both your hands forward.
While inhaling, bend the waist down and while exhaling, lift the waist upward.
Do this process 30-35 times.
2. Katichkrasana:
Stand straight and keep both feet shoulder-width apart.
Spread the hands to the right and left and rotate the waist to the right.
Try to touch the right shoulder with the left hand.
3. Ardha Katichakrasana:
Stand straight.
Pull the right hand forward and then bring it near the ear.
Exhale and bend to the left.
Wait for a few seconds and then come back to normal position.
