Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has made a decision on his future at Napoli, reveals Antonio Conte amid transfer interest from Liverpool and Man United

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has made a decision on his future with Napoli amid interest from several of Europe’s top clubs.

The 23-year-old has been an integral component of Napoli’s success in recent years, and starred as the club secured their first league title in more than three decades in the 2022-23 campaign.

In the years since he has remained a key player at the Stadio Armando Maradona and has netted five goals and contributed three assists this season.

Negotiations surrounding a new deal for the Georgia international had been ongoing, but Napoli boss Antonio Conte has now revealed Kvaratskhelia is intent on leaving the club this month.

‘Kvaratskhelia has asked to leave the club,’ said Conte. ‘I spoke to Khvicha and he confirmed his plan to leave the club immediately.

‘There was a contract that was supposed to be renewed. Obviously I didn’t do enough to convince both parties to carry on together.

‘I’ll take a step back because I can’t keep chained up a player who doesn’t want to stay.’

The news comes after Mail Sport revealed that Liverpool are one of several clubs keeping tabs on the 23-year-old.

Manchester United and Chelsea have also been linked with the winger who starred in Georgia’s run to the last 16 at Euro 2024 last summer.

However, the frontrunners to secure Kvaratskhelia currently appear to be French giants PSG.

A report from Fabrizio Romano earlier this week revealed that Luis Enrique have been in direct contract over a move for the winger.

A deal, reportedly in the region of £71million, is said to be in the works, with talks surrounding personal terms progressing well.

Kvaratskhelia is reportedly set to earn more than four times his current salary, with a five-year deal at the Parc des Princes close to being finalised.

Napoli currently sit atop the Serie A table, two points clear of their nearest challengers Atalanta.
