Stadium work incomplete, Champions Trophy will not be held in Pakistan?, PCB's big statement comes out

Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore and National Bank Stadium in Karachi are going to host the Champions Trophy matches. The renovation work at the venues, which began in August last year and was scheduled to be completed by December 31, is yet to be completed, with multiple reports suggesting that the ICC will send a team to Pakistan to inspect all three stadiums. If the venues are not ready for handover on February 12, the entire tournament will be shifted to the UAE.
The work will be completed in the first week of February
A PCB official said that all the work will be completed by the first week of February. He said that Pakistan Cricket Board has spent about Rs 12 billion on the renovation of stadiums. Pakistan will successfully host the Champions Trophy. There is no need to pay attention to any rumour. We are committed to giving our best. However, the PCB on Wednesday shifted the ODI tri-series involving South Africa and New Zealand from Multan to Karachi and Lahore.
ICC team will inspect
Media reports say that ICC will send a team to Pakistan to inspect all three stadiums of Pakistan. If the venues are not ready to be handed over on February 12, the entire tournament could be shifted to the UAE. However, PCB says that the work on all three stadiums will be completed by the first week of February. Pakistan will successfully host the Champions Trophy.
UAE may get hosting
It is believed that if the hosting of the Champions Trophy is snatched away from Pakistan, then the United Arab Emirates (UAE) may get the chance to host it. However, before this the ICC has given an ultimatum to the Pakistan Cricket Board. In which it has been said that in any case the incomplete stadium works will have to be completed by January 25.
