Hong Kong actress May Chan has reduced her weight from 130 kg to 59 kg in just one year due to health concerns.

According to The StarChan shared her health victories on Instagram, which also include overcoming high blood sugar, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol. Her post features two photos: one showcasing her slimmer waistline and another displaying her now defined jawline.

Alongside the images, Chan expressed her newfound confidence, captioning the post: “Finally, I can show off my waist! This summer, I should be able to wear the waist-revealing swimsuit I’ve been dreaming of.”

However, the actress is not yet satisfied and has set a new goal to lose an additional 13 kg to reach what she considers perfection.

In an interview with HK01Chan described her weight loss strategy, which includes careful portion control and strategic meal sequencing. She adheres to a diet of 50% vegetables, up to 40% protein, and no more than 15% carbohydrates, avoiding carbs in the evening and opting for crackers if she feels hungry. She also avoids foods high in sugar and oil to maintain her health.

Many have praised Chan for her discipline and commitment, while others expressed concern, urging her to maintain a healthy balance and not to overdo her weight loss efforts.

“Please share tips on how you lost weight,” one Instagram user commented.

“Be careful not to lose too much weight,” another advised.

Chan, 40, entered the entertainment industry in 2013. She has reportedly struggled with weight issues since her youth and is often cast in comedic roles as a gluttonous girl or the girl trying to win a guy’s affection in films.
