Banned Movies OTT: There have been many films made in Indian cinema, which were banned even before their release due to their bold story and controversial subjects. However, now these films are available on OTT platforms, where viewers can watch them. Let us know about those films which once became a part of controversies.
1. Fire
Deepa Mehta's 'Fire', released in 1996, was based on homosexuality. The film depicted the love relationship between two women (sister-in-law and sister-in-law) of a middle class family. Many organizations had opposed it due to its bold scenes and subject matter. However, now this film is available on YouTube.
2. Water
Whereas 'Water' released in 2005 was based on the struggles of widowed women. The opposition to this film, which shows the difficulties of a widow and the discrimination against her in the society, started during the shooting itself. John Abraham was in the lead role in this. 3. Angry Indian Goddesses

5. Parzania
'Parzania', released in 2007, was based on a true incident. The film focused on the search for a child from a Parsi family who went missing in the post-Godhra riots. Due to political controversies it was not released in theaters. It is now available on Disney+Hotstar.
6. Unfreedom
Apart from this, 'Unfreedom' released in 2014 was also based on homosexuality. There were many bold scenes in the film, due to which the censor board refused to pass it. Now it can be seen on YouTube.
