Took money from PM Awas Yojana, did not even lay the foundation of the house, action against 728 people in Jharkhand

Certificate case will be registered against 728 beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Urban in Jharkhand. According to the report, these are the beneficiaries who live in Ranchi Municipal Corporation area and are the beneficiaries of PMAY scheme for pucca houses.

All of them have not taken the construction of the house beyond the foundation even after taking Rs 45,000 as the first installment. After being given notices several times, these people have not even completed the linter work.

Seeing no effect even after making awareness by the community organizer to complete the construction of the house, the PMAY branch of the corporation has started registering a certificate case against these beneficiaries and issuing notices.

427 got linters done, 457 got roof molding done. There are 427 beneficiaries of the scheme who have got the work done from balcony to linters. After this, even the front wall and roof have not been constructed. Similarly, 457 beneficiaries have completed the roofing. But the finishing of the house is still pending.

10,847 out of 12,587 schemes completed in the Corporation area. In the Ranchi Municipal Corporation area, 12,587 beneficiaries have been selected so far to provide kutcha to pucca houses to the needy families having their own land in the PMAY scheme urban. According to the report, out of these, 10,847 houses have been ready. Work on 128 is yet to begin.

Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Urban, selected beneficiaries are given Rs 2 lakh 25 thousand for the construction of buildings. With this money, two rooms, a hall, kitchen and bathroom are constructed in the building. The beneficiary has to bear the remaining amount of the expenses incurred in preparing the building.
