Young man found guilty in the case of rape and murder of a five-year-old innocent child, received death sentence from the court.

Jharkhand News: In the case of rape and murder of a 5 year old innocent girl in Lohardaga, Jharkhand, the Lohardaga Civil Court has convicted the accused and given him death sentence. This whole matter of cruelty is said to be 3 years old in 2022. Here in Bagdu police station area, a minor girl was raped and murdered. Considering this as the rarest of rare case in the court, the accused has been sentenced to death.

According to media reports, Public Prosecutor Mini Lakra, who represented the government in the court in this case, said that in December 2022, the five-year-old girl was fed food by her mother and left outside to play with other children. During this time accused Inder Oraon reached there. He gave some money to the other children and asked them to buy something to eat from the shop and sent them away.

The dead body was thrown near the toilet

After this, he took the victim with him and after raping him, he threw her body near the toilet shower. Then covered it with a sack. After some time, when the girl's mother went out to search for her daughter, she was not found there. On asking the girls playing with him, they told that Indra had taken him with himself.

The accused was found eating chow mein comfortably

On searching for Indra, he was found eating chow mein on a cart. When asked about the girl, he started running away from there. The villagers caught him and interrogated him strictly. After this, he confessed to raping and murdering a 5-year-old innocent girl and throwing her body near a bush. A case was registered at Bagdu police station on the statement of the minor's mother.

Action under POCSO Act

In this, the court found the accused Indra Oraon guilty of murdering the girl and sentenced him to death. He has also been sentenced to life imprisonment under the POCSO Act in the same case. This punishment was given by the court of District and Sessions Judge First cum Special Judge POCSO Act Akhilesh Kumar Tiwari. This is the second time in 14 years that Lohardaga Court has sentenced an accused to death. In this case, Public Prosecutor Mini Lakra argued on behalf of the prosecution and played an important role in getting the accused punished.
