New Delhi: The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) will start the Chartered Accountant (CA) January 2025 Foundation exams from today, January 12. The accounting exam will be held today. The CA Foundation papers 2, 3 and 4 are scheduled for January 14, 16, and 18.
Candidates must reach the exam centre at least an hour before the exam begins to have a hassle-free entry process. However late entry will be allowed up to 15 minutes after the exam starts, but candidates will not be permitted to leave the hall till the exam gets over.
ICAI is conducting the CA Foundation January session exam for accounting, business laws, quantitative aptitude, business mathematics, logical reasoning, statistics, and business economics papers. The paper will have descriptive-cum-objective type questions.
Candidates appearing for the exa must carry their the ICAI CA admit card which is available for download on the official website, icai.org.
The Foundation paper 1 and paper 2 will be held from 2 PM to 5 PM, and paper 3 and paper 4 from 2 PM to 4 PM. Candidates will get an additional reading time of 15 minutes from 1:45 PM to 2 PM on all days, except for papers 3 and 4 of the Foundation exam.
ICAI CA January 2025 Foundation Exam Guidelines
- Candidates must reach the exam centre an hour before the exam begins
- The necessary documents which are mandatory to carry at the exam centre include the ICAI CA Foundation admit card and a valid identity proof (such as voter card, PAN card, aadhar card or similar)
- Any kind of electronic gadgets such as mobile, Bluetooth devices, calculators, smart watches and similar others are prohibited inside the exam centre.
- Candidates can carry pen, pencil, eraser, water bottle and medicine (if necessary) inside the exam hall.
The CA Foundation exam is held thrice a year- May-June, September, and January. Candidates can opt to attempt the paper in Hindi or English.
