Bathing will take place amid hi-tech security arrangements, 330 deep divers deployed at 50 ghats including Sangam.
Mahakumbh 2025: Mahakumbh is going to start from tomorrow i.e. Monday (January 13). The influx of devotees has started. In view of this, the administration has made elaborate arrangements to control the crowd and prevent any untoward incident. For the safety of bathers here, 330 deep divers have been deployed at 50 bathing ghats including Sangam since Saturday. Apart from this, 11 FRP, four Anaconda boats and four water ambulances have also been deployed, so that quick action can be taken in case of an accident.
Water security plan implemented
According to media reports, the water traffic and safety plan prepared by the water police was implemented on Saturday, two days before this festival. Deep divers have been deployed from Sangam to all other bathing ghats. These include 130 police and other forces, while 200 private divers. The special thing is that all of them are capable of carrying out rescue operations by going deep into the river without oxygen cylinders.
3800 flood relief team personnel deployed
According to the information, about 3800 soldiers of NDRF, SDRF as well as 10 companies of PAC flood relief team are on duty here. They will provide duty 24 hours shift wise at different ghats from Saturday. SSP told the media that the water traffic plan has been implemented. Concrete arrangements have been made for the safety of bathers in the water.
Entry closed at Sangam station from today
Let us tell you that many types of restrictions have been implemented at the railway stations of the city since Sunday regarding Paush Purnima, the first bathing festival of Maha Kumbh. Here, entry of passengers has been banned at Prayagraj Sangam station in Daraganj from 12 to 15 January. Apart from this, if someone wants to travel in a train running from here, then he will have to go to Prayag station. However, at Prayagraj Junction also, entry will be given only from the city side. Not only this, entry of vehicles in the fair area during Mahakumbh has also been banned for the next 5 days. In such a situation, this system will be implemented from 8 pm on Sunday night and will remain effective till 8 pm on January 15.

Railway's appeal to passengers
At the same time, North Central Railway has constructed color coded (red, blue, yellow and green) passenger shelters according to the direction at the railway stations. Apart from this, Railways has appealed to the passengers to follow the entry and exit restrictions at Prayagraj Junction, Subedaraganj, Naini and Prayagraj Chhivki stations one day before and two days after the main Snan festival.
