Mohammed Shami News In Hindi: The BCCI on Saturday, January 11, announced India's much-awaited squad for the upcoming T20I series against England. Star bowler Mohammed Shami made a comeback to international cricket after a gap of 14 months, giving a big boost to India's preparations for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.

The 34-year-old Shami last played international cricket during the ICC ODI World Cup 2023 and T20I games during the ICC T20 World Cup 2022. Shami is expected to regain match fitness ahead of the ODI series against the Three Lions and the Champions Trophy starting on February 19.

Apart from Shami's return to the T20 team, the management has appointed the spin all-rounder as the vice-captain for the five-match series against England starting on January 22. Most of the key players from the South Africa T20 series have been included in the squad, with Sanju Samson and Dhruv Jurel being the two wicketkeeping options.

Nitish Reddy also returns to the T20 squad, having been left out of the South Africa series due to his involvement in the Indian squad for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. Reddy was selected in place of fast bowling all-rounder Shivam Dubey, who missed the last T20 match due to injury.

Washington Sundar also got a place in the three-man spin attack along with Varun Chakravarthy and Ravi Bishnoi, but there was no place for Kuldeep Yadav. India also dropped fast bowlers Vijaykumar Vaish, Avesh Khan and Yash Dayal from their previous T20I squad and included Harshit Rana along with Shami and Arshdeep Singh in the fast bowling attack against England.
