Atishi's crowd funding campaign, seeks support from public for honest politics, target is to raise Rs 40 lakh…

New Delhi:- Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party's Kalkaji seat candidate Atishi has appealed for financial support from the public for his upcoming assembly election campaign. While announcing this during a press conference on Sunday, she said that she needs Rs 40 lakh to contest the elections, to raise which she is starting a crowd funding campaign.

Dream of 'honest politics' with the help of public

Atishi said that Aam Aadmi Party was formed with the support of the public and small donations. He reminded that in the early days of 2013, when AAP had entered the electoral fray for the first time, they had asked for donations of Rs 10, 50 or 100 from the public. This contribution distinguished the party from other political parties, which depend on big corporates. He said that the principle of our party has always been based on transparency and public support. Instead of taking funds from big businessmen and corporates, we run our election campaigns with small contributions from the public.

Target to raise Rs 40 lakh
Atishi appealed to the people of Delhi and Aam Aadmi Party supporters across the country to support him financially to maintain his honest politics. He said that if you want to see an honest and public welfare government in Delhi, then join this crowd funding campaign. Also Atishi shared a link for crowd funding atishi.aamaadmiparty.org. He expressed confidence that the people of Delhi, who have always supported AAP, will support him this time too.

Allegations and counter-allegations on liquor policy and vote scam in Delhi

Apart from this, political heat has increased in Delhi before the elections. A heated debate continues between AAP and BJP. The BJP attacked the controversial liquor policy of the Delhi government, alleging that the Aam Aadmi Party opened liquor shops at various places by promising to open schools. On the other hand, AAP hit back at BJP saying that BJP makes allegations by showing false papers and then runs away. Recently the alleged report of CAG has claimed a revenue loss of Rs 2026 crore due to liquor policy.

BJP released second list of candidates

BJP on Saturday released its list of 29 more candidates for Delhi Assembly elections. So far, candidates have been announced for 58 seats. Among these, Harish Khurana, son of former Delhi Chief Minister Madanlal Khurana, has been given ticket from Moti Nagar. Whereas, former AAP leader Kapil Mishra has been fielded from Karawal Nagar.

Assembly election schedule in Delhi

Voting for the 70-member Delhi Assembly will take place on February 5, 2025, while counting of votes will take place on February 8. In the last two elections, Congress had failed to win even a single seat. This time the contest is expected to be triangular. At the end of his address, Atishi said that this election is not just a political fight, but a fight for honesty and transparency. I am sure that the people of Delhi will understand our struggle and support us. Will the public once again stand with you? It will be interesting to see.
