The construction of Mahalpur Khevna Parsoi road of development block Chopan was to start in 2020 under the Pradhan Mantri Gramin Sadak Yojana and was to be completed in 2022.
But, due to corruption, this road is still incomplete. Obstacles of the Forest Department and silence of public representatives. Local people say that the Forest Department is becoming a hindrance in the construction of this road. Public representatives have raised this issue several times, but no concrete action has been taken so far. The bridge has been built, but not the road.
A new bridge has been built on this route from Khairatiya village to Sector 2, but due to non-construction of the road, this bridge is lying useless. This road is the only connectivity route for the people of this area.
Due to lack of road, this area is known as Kala Pani. Local villagers have demanded immediate construction of this road. He says that with the construction of this road, it will provide a lot of convenience to the villagers traveling to UP and MP.
