Of which tomato is one such thing. Tomato is acidic in nature. In such a situation, when it is cooked in an iron pan, it reacts with the iron and spoils the taste of the dish. Eating this may give you the taste of iron. Cooking spinach curry in an iron pan can also be harmful. Spinach is rich in oxalic acid, and when it is cooked in an iron pan, the color of the spinach changes and it turns black.

This is caused by iron reacting with oxalic acid. This can also spoil the taste of food. Most people make omelettes in iron pans. But experts believe that omelette should never be made in an iron pan. This can be harmful for health.

While making eggs, you might have noticed that they stick to the iron pan. Fish should never be cooked in an iron pan. Because there are many fish which are flaky, due to which they start sticking to it. Even if you use too much oil or butter, it becomes difficult to scrape off.
