When is Sakat Chauth fast in 2025?
Actually, there are two pakshas in every month and Lord Ganesha is worshiped on the Chaturthi of both the pakshas. But the main Ganesh puja is done on the day of Sakat Chauth. This fast is observed on the Chaturthi of Krishna Paksha of Magh month. It is also known as Tilkut Chauth. This date will fall on 17th January this year. This date will start on January 17 at 4:06 am and will continue the next day on January 18 at 5:30 am.

Moon worship also has special significance on the day of this fast. The fast is considered complete only after offering Arghya to the moon at night. The estimated time of moonrise on this day is said to be 9.09 pm. On the day of this fast, you should wake up in the morning during Brahma Muhurta and start worshiping after taking bath and cleaning. The idol of Lord Ganesha should be installed after spreading a red cloth on the post.
