School Holiday: Will school winter breaks in Delhi, Haryana be extended further?

New Delhi: Due to dense fog and a rise in temperature, the northern part of India is amid the grip of severe cold. As the difficulty to get out and work in this condition is alarming so also for students to attend classes. Most of the schools in Delhi and Haryana have extended the winter school holidays again.

For the safety of the students in the harsh weather, in some schools for higher classes classes may be conducted online.

As per report by Jagran Josh, schools in Ghaziabad and Delhi will remain closed till January 18, 2025. Moreover, the holidays can also be extended further by the school authority depending upon the weather conditions.

Delhi School Winter Holidays 2025

The Delhi government has extended the winter school holidays till January 15, 2025. Additionally, many schools in Noida and Gurugram alongside Delhi have also extended the winter vacations.

On January 15, The Directorate of Education, Delhi has issued a directive mandating the hybrid mode of classes in Delhi schools except for Class 10 and Class 12 due to the increasing pollution levels in Delhi-NCR.

Haryana Schools Winter Vacation 2025

As per the order of the Directorate of Education, Haryana all schools in the state along with Gurgaon and Faridabad districts were closed till January 15. The schools will resume the classes from today, January 16, 2025.

Moreover, as per reports, in Bareillythe District Magistrate ordered all government, private and council schools between Class 1 to Class 8 to remain shut for January 15. In Badaun and Shahjahanpurschools till Class 8 were ordered to remain shut till January 16.
