Mehmood considered Amitabh as his son, Big B did such a thing, did not talk about it till his death

Such a Bollywood actor, who made everyone laugh, but lived his life in great pain. Who were once forced to eat two meals a day. To earn money, he sometimes sold chickens and eggs, sometimes he sold toffees in buses and trains, and then suddenly such a miracle happened that he became the comedy king of Bollywood. Who used to call himself the father of Amitabh Bachchan, in front of whom Amitabh himself used to cry, but then he was so heartbroken that he did not talk to him till his death.

We are talking about Hindi film industry's comedy king actor Mehmood. Mehmood was very active in Hindi cinema between the 50s and 70s. Mehmood has been not only a comedian but also an actor, singer and director. His acting and laughing skills are so good that even today people are unable to stop themselves from laughing after watching his comedy. He is one of those actors without whom the film seemed incomplete. Mahmood Ali was born on 29 September 1933 in Mumbai.

Mahmood had a total of 8 brothers and sisters, so in the initial phase, the financial condition of his family was very bad, hence Mahmood had to do work ranging from selling chicken, eggs and toffees to driving a taxi. However, he did all this work under extreme compulsion. Mahmood's father Mumtaz Ali used to work in Bombay Talkies Studio. In such a situation, Mahmood's interest in acting also started increasing and then he entered films as a dancer. In the year 1943, his first film 'Kismat' was released and in the same way the train of Mehmood's films started running rapidly. In the 50s and 70s, when there was not much scope for comedy in Hindi cinema, at that time Mehmood changed the whole picture through his brilliant comedy.

There came a time when people used to go to watch Mehmood's films just after hearing his name. Not only this, to make the film a hit, the makers also used to include the picture of Mahmood Ali on the poster of the film along with the hero. Another special thing about Mahmood was that he never rehearsed. Whatever he did he did live. Even though he became a superstar, he had a very good heart. Mahmood was always ahead in helping.

He was known for personally visiting temples, mosques, dargahs, churches, old age homes and orphanages to help the needy. Not only this, he has also helped many Bollywood actors in bad times.

Actually, Mahmood himself had seen so many troubles in his life and had struggled so much that he could not see the troubles of others. Similarly, even megastar Amitabh Bachchan was not seen struggling with him. In the initial period, not a single film of Big B was running. About 12 of his films flopped. In such a situation, no film maker was ready to cast Amitabh in his film. Amitabh was facing financial crisis. When no one knew Amitabh in the industry, Mehmood gave him shelter in his house and got him work in many films. Not only this, as a producer, Mehmood himself gave the first lead role to Amitabh Bachchan in the film 'Bombay to Goa' and his film proved to be a super-duper hit. Amitabh had to dance on the song 'Dekha Na Hai Re, Socha Na' from this film. Since he was inexperienced in dancing, everyone was laughing at Amitabh. Then, upset, Amitabh held Mahmood's feet and said crying that he would not be able to dance with him. But Mehmood also made Amitabh dance and his film also performed brilliantly at the box office.

Amitabh Bachchan calls Mehmood his godfather. Mahmood treated Amitabh like his son. But one action of Amitabh broke his heart so much that he did not even talk to Amitabh till his death. Mehmood himself had told in an interview that he helped Amitabh Bachchan a lot during his days of struggle. He treated Amitabh like his own son, but one bad act of Amitabh broke Mahmood's heart. Mehmood had said, 'Amit respects me a lot. But one of his actions gave me a big shock. When his father Harivansh Rai Bachchan fell ill, I went to Amit's house to meet him. But when I had bypass surgery, Amit came to Breach Candy Hospital with his father Harivansh Rai Bachchan, but did not come to see me even once. Amit proved that only real father is real and fake father is fake.
