Champions Trophy 2025 Rohit Sharma will go to Pakistan? PCB hope News In Hindi: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) hopes that Rohit Sharma will travel to the neighboring country for the opening ceremony of the Champions Trophy. According to reports, the governing body plans to hold a grand opening ceremony on February 16 or 17. As per standard practice, all captains of the participating nations are expected to attend the opening ceremony and official photo shoot. In such a situation, Rohit can travel to Pakistan, but BCCI officials have not yet commented on this matter.
The PCB is going to organize its first ICC event after 29 years and is leaving no stone unturned to host a grand ceremony before the tournament begins on February 19. India have not yet announced their team for the tournament and it is expected that after the team is announced, chief selector Ajit Agarkar or captain Rohit will give a clear picture of the matter.
Meanwhile, the BCCI, after consulting the Indian government, refused to go to Pakistan for the Champions Trophy and informed the International Cricket Council (ICC) about this. After much discussion, it has been decided that the Indian team will play all its matches in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), while the remaining matches of the tournament will be held in Pakistan.
India will play Bangladesh, Pakistan and New Zealand in the group stage of the competition. Dubai International Cricket Stadium will host all the games of the first round. On the other hand, Pakistan will play its first match against Blackcaps in Karachi. They will travel to Dubai to face India and host Bangladesh in their final group-stage game in Rawalpindi.
