How Shahid became the shining star of Bollywood – Obnews

Shahid Kapoor is one of the most successful and talented actors of Hindi cinema today. His film “Deva” is going to be released on the big screen soon. But his journey to reach here was not easy. Shahid Kapoor, who was a background dancer and did small roles in TV ads, has established himself as a superstar on the basis of hard work and dedication.

Family life and early struggles
Shahid Kapoor is the son of veteran actors Pankaj Kapoor and Neelima Azim. After the divorce of Pankaj Kapoor and Neelima Azim, Shahid started living with his maternal grandparents in Delhi. Later, when his mother married actor Rajesh Khattar, he moved to Mumbai.

Shahid was not very good in studies, but he had a passion for dance since childhood. His father asked him to get 80% marks on the condition of joining the dance class. Shahid worked hard and took the first step towards his dream by scoring excellent marks.

First break: Pepsi ad
Shahid, who learned dance at the age of 10, got his first big break when he went for an audition with his friend. The makers liked Shahid's look and cast him in the Pepsi advertisement along with Shahrukh Khan, Kajol, and Rani Mukherjee. This is where his career started.

Journey from background dancer to lead actor
Shahid worked as a background dancer in films like “Dil To Pagal Hai” and “Taal”. But his real debut was with Ramesh Taurani's film “Ishq-Vishk”. This film was a hit and Shahid got recognition across the country. However, after this his 6 films continuously flopped.

The film “Chup Chupke” released in 2006 gave a new direction to his career. After this, superhit films like “Vivah,” “Jab We Met,” “Haider,” and “Kabir Singh” made him a big star in the industry.
