Vidarbha vs Maharashtra, 2nd semi final Vijay Hazare Trophy 2024-25: The names of both the teams that will appear in the final of Vijay Hazare Trophy 2024-25 have been revealed. This time Karnataka and Vidarbha will face each other in the title match. In the second semi-final played today, Vidarbha defeated Maharashtra by 69 runs and secured their place in the final. Playing first, Vidarbha team scored 380/3 in 50 overs, in response to which Maharashtra team could score only 311/7 after playing the entire overs. In this way Vidarbha registered its eighth consecutive win in the season.

Vidarbha batsmen gave a strong performance

Maharashtra won the toss and asked Vidarbha to bat first and this decision was no less than a nightmare for Ruturaj Gaikwad's team. For Vidarbha, Yash Rathore and Dhruv Shorey scored centuries and also made an excellent partnership of 224 runs for the first wicket. Yash played an innings of 116 runs in 101 balls with the help of 14 fours and one six. Whereas Dhruv scored 114 runs in 120 balls, which included 14 fours and 1 six. From here captain Karun Nair and Jitesh Sharma took charge. Both of them scored runs quickly in the last overs. Jitesh scored a half-century and scored 51 runs in 33 balls. Karun remained unbeaten after scoring 88 runs in 44 balls. Mukesh Chaudhary took maximum two wickets from Maharashtra side.

Ruturaj Gaikwad flopped, Arshin Kulkarni's struggle did not work

Maharashtra had a poor start while chasing the target. Captain Ruturaj Gaikwad could not do anything special and was out after scoring 7 runs. Rahul Tripathi played some good shots but he too walked out after scoring 27 runs. Siddesh Veer also contributed 30 runs. Amidst all this, Arshin Kulkarni played a strong innings but he came close to his century and was out after scoring 90 runs. Ankit Bawne scored 50 runs and Nikhil Naik tried for his team by scoring 49 runs but did not succeed due to the target being big. For Vidarbha, Darshan Nalkande and Nachiket Bhute got three wickets each.
