xAI launched Grok web app : Elon Musk's AI startup xAI has launched the web version of its Grok AI chatbot, which can now be used even without an account on the social media platform This information has come to light according to TOI report.

The beta version of the Grok web app is now available on Grok.com. It offers features of recently launched iOS apps like real-time information, answers to questions and image generation. With this expansion, Grok is directly challenging popular AI chatbots like ChatGPT and Google Gemini.

Sign-in options

Users can log in to the Grok website using an X account, Google or email, eliminating the need for social media subscriptions.

Free plan limits

10 image generation every two hours.

3 image analysis credits per day.

4 Image Generation.

These limits are for users without an X Premium account.

Customization Options

In the Settings menu, users can choose a theme like Light, Dark, or System mode and adjust the chatbot's responses in modes like Auto, Visualize, and Search.

Temporary Mode

To enhance privacy, users can activate Temporary Mode by clicking the “Ghost Icon”. In this mode, chat data will neither appear in history nor be used for model training. However, for security reasons this data may be stored temporarily for up to 30 days.

Availability to broad audience

With this launch, Grok is no longer limited to X Premium customers only. It is also useful for users who do not want to rely on social media platforms or are in places (like schools and workplaces) where access to social media is limited.

This new move by Grok is indicative of a significant competition in the field of AI technology, where user-friendly experience is being given priority.
