Pakistan batter Fakhar Zaman has said that he misses playing in India, having enjoyed his stay during the 2023 ODI World Cup. Recently, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) reached an agreement ahead of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.

The boards decided that all the India-Pakistan matches in ICC events will be held at neutral venues till at least 2027. This agreement meant that India will play their share of Champions Trophy matches in Dubai.

“Yes, we will definitely miss (playing in India). We enjoyed a lot during our visit there for the ODI World Cup 2023. We were delighted with the kind of support and the hospitality we got there. The locals gave us a warm welcome when we went to Hyderabad for the first time, they all showered their love on us. Yes, we will miss it all,” Zaman told Sports Tak.

Zaman is likely to be a part of Pakistan’s 15-member squad for the 2025 Champions Trophy. He was a very important player for the Men in Green when they lifted the trophy by beating India in the final. Zaman scored a brilliant century against the Men in Blue in the final to help his side post a formidable total.

“If India had come to Pakistan, we would have given them an even grander welcome and hospitality but they are not coming. It’s fine, but we’re excited to play against them in Dubai,” Zaman said.
