Islamabad: Pakistani court has sentenced former Prime Minister Imran Khan to 14 years in prison in a corruption case. This punishment has been given in the 190 million pound scam related to Al Qadir University Trust. Besides, his wife Bushra Bibi has also been convicted in this case and sentenced to 7 years. The court has given this decision in view of large-scale corruption.
In Pakistan's Al-Qadir Trust case, the court sentenced former Prime Minister Imran Khan to 14 years in jail and a fine of Rs 10 lakh. His wife Bushra Bibi has also been sentenced to 7 years in jail and a fine of Rs 5 lakh. This case was registered by Pakistan's National Accountability Bureau (NAB) in December 2023. It is alleged that 72-year-old Khan, 50-year-old Bushra Bibi and 6 others together caused a loss of 190 million pounds (about 50 billion Pakistani rupees) to the national exchequer.
