Obnews Automobile Desk: On the first day (January 17) of Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, Toyota presented the first look of its most awaited electric SUV Toyota Urban Cruiser EV. This car will be launched soon in the Indian market and it is built on the same platform on which Maruti Suzuki E-Vitara is built.
Features of Toyota Urban Cruiser EV
This SUV of Toyota can be launched in the Indian market after Maruti E-Vitara. It has many advanced features:
- design: New LED daytime running lights, modern headlamps, attractive alloy wheels and modified rear profile.
- Cabin: Touchscreen infotainment system with connected apps, electric parking brake, sunroof and premium JBL sound system.
- Safety Features: 360-degree camera and ADAS technology, including adaptive cruise control, lane departure alert and lane-keep assist.

This EV is offered in two powertrain configurations:
1. 49kWh Battery Pack:
- front-axle mounted motor
- 144hp power and 189Nm torque
2. 61kWh Battery Pack:
- advanced motor
- 174hp power and 189Nm torque

Possible competition in Indian market
Toyota Urban Cruiser EV can be launched in the Indian market by the end of 2025. This EV will give tough competition to Tata Curve, Hyundai Creta Electric, and Mahindra BE 6.
